Baidu Will Launch a ChatGPT-Like AI Chatbot in March

Apparently, Chinese technology giant, Baidu Inc plans to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot similar to ChatGPT OpenAI in March.

Sources familiar with the matter told Reuters that Baidu would launch the tool by first embedding it in its main search service.

According to eunoiamedia First developed by OpenAI, a research company and created DALLE.2, an AI art generator, ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool powered by AI technology. With this, users can start human-like conversations with chatbots.

ChatGPT is now increasingly attracting public attention because it is claimed that it will soon take over the functions of older search engines such as Search, owned by Google.

The sophistication of ChatGPT technology has even led Microsoft to expand its long-term partnership with OpenAI through a new "multi-year, billion-dollar investment", up to US$10 billion (Rp 150.3 trillion) into OpenAI, maker of popular AI tools such as ChatGPT and DALL- E 2.

The deal will see Microsoft increase its investment in the development and deployment of supercomputing systems to assist OpenAI research.

A key part of the deal means that Microsoft is the exclusive cloud partner for OpenAI, and Microsoft's cloud services will power all OpenAI workloads across products, API services, and research.

In contrast to Microsoft, AI Meta's chief scientist, Yann LeCun, admitted that he was not impressed with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) based chatbot.

According to LeCun, such data-driven AI or artificial intelligence systems or Big Language Models (LLMs) have been built in the past by many companies and research laboratories.
